Welcome to Raikes Acre
Set in the heart of Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales, the newly converted stone cottage, with traditional stone tiled roof, is fully insulated and double glazed.
Raikes Acre is situated on a hillside overlooking a beautiful valley of open farmland and forestry. Burnsall is just half a mile away with the Red Lion Inn, The Devonshire Fell Hotel and a shop and cafe on the green. Four miles down the Dale, at the other end of the valley is Bolton Abbey, a 12th-century Augustinian Priory. The village of Appletreewick with its two pubs is one mile away.
Your hosts Wilma and Jack have many years' experience in catering, and are more than happy to welcome all lovers of the glorious Yorkshire Dales. Advice can be given on walking routes, which can start from stiles on our doorstep, or car tours and local attractions.
The Craven Arms, Appletreewick is a local pub just 2 minutes drive or 25 minutes walk; serving real ales and great food. Click here for more information.
